The 2025 Acworth Turkey Chase will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025. We are excited to announce that we are an official Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. Runners will enjoy an exhilarating 5K run, jog, or walk through Historic Downtown Acworth and along the shores of beautiful Lake Acworth.

The City of Acworth Parks, Recreation, and Community Resource Department presents this annual Thanksgiving tradition to benefit the Tackle Hunger Program! For the past sixteen years, Turkey Chase runners have helped stock local food pantries during the holiday season. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. All participants must bring a non-perishable food item on the day of the race to receive a race number and t-shirt.

Dry Lush will be on hand with delicious non-alcoholic treats to enjoy pre- and post-race! We’ll have plenty for you to take home, too, so you can enjoy spirited beverages without the alcohol with your loved ones this Thanksgiving!
